Nicole Sutherland

Nicole finished her Master of Occupational Therapy degree at UBC in 2008. In January 2024, she relocated back to the Penticton area from the Lower Mainland after being away since 2006.
Much of Nicole’s work and expertise surrounds the area of vocational rehabilitation. This has afforded her roles such as Professional Practice Leader for WSBC’s RTWSS Program; she has also held various RTW Educator roles for employers, including one of BC’s largest School Districts. Nicole has extensive experience working with traumatic brain injury clients individually and as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team/program. She thoroughly enjoys providing Community OT services, which can vary significantly regarding requested services. Nicole also loves completing cognitive assessments of clients, analyzing results, and/or providing such clientele with OT Services to assist with identified functional issues (ADLs, IADLs). Helping others progress with their goals and overcome challenges brings her joy.
Overall, health and physical fitness are essential to Nicole. She tries to incorporate gratitude, mindfulness, and physical activity daily. Her favourite things are skiing, boating, ocean fishing, and hiking in the mountains, especially with family and friends.
