Creative Therapy Consultants is excited to announce the opening of our Vancouver office, where Occupational Therapist Julia de Haas, MOT, BSc (Kinesiology) and Registered Clinical Counsellor Claire DeWitt, BSc KIN, MA, RCC bring their expertise, passion, and client-centered care to the Metro Vancouver community. Together, they provide integrated services that support both the physical and emotional well-being of clients, empowering them to regain independence, build resiliency, and thrive.
A Passion for Occupational Therapy in Vancouver

Julia de Haas is an occupational therapist who is passionate about supporting adults in achieving their goals and returning to the activities that matter most to them. With a background in kinesiology and extensive experience providing occupational therapy services across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and the Sunshine Coast, Julia is now bringing her expertise to Metro Vancouver.
Her collaborative, client-centered approach emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring every plan to her clients’ needs. Julia supports clients across a wide geographical area—including Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, the Sea-to-Sky corridor, and the Sunshine Coast—as well as virtually.
“Occupational therapy is about finding practical, meaningful solutions that empower clients in their everyday lives,” Julia explains. “I meet clients where they are—both geographically and in their personal recovery journeys—and together we create strategies that support independence and quality of life.”
Outside of work, Julia embraces the West Coast lifestyle she encourages in her clients’ rehabilitation, spending time outdoors with her dog Juniper and staying active in nature.
Counselling with Care and Compassion
Claire DeWitt is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. She specializes in working with teens and adults, supporting clients with concerns related to anxiety, emotional regulation, stress management, and body image.
Claire’s counselling style balances warmth and encouragement with gentle challenges that promote personal growth and lasting change. She focuses on setting realistic goals and helping clients build the foundations for effective habits that support follow-through between sessions.
“Counselling is about creating a safe space where clients feel both supported and challenged,” Claire says. “By tailoring each session to their unique needs, I help clients discover practical strategies that make a real difference in their lives.”
Claire draws on evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, while maintaining a person-centered approach rooted in empathy and unconditional positive regard.
When she isn’t working or studying, Claire enjoys biking, skiing, and hiking with her dog Murphy.
Values-Driven, Community-Focused Care
At Creative Therapy Consultants, values-driven care is at the heart of every service. Julia and Claire share a commitment to treating each client with empathy, respect, and integrity. By focusing on the whole person—not just their symptoms—they ensure care is personalized, meaningful, and effective.
“Our values guide every decision,” Julia shares. “From the first assessment to long-term follow-up, our focus is always on helping clients achieve their goals in ways that feel sustainable.”
Building Connections Across Metro Vancouver
The Vancouver office reflects Creative Therapy Consultants’ commitment to continuous improvement and community connection. Julia and Claire are dedicated to professional development and collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless, coordinated care.
Serving clients across Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, the Sea-to-Sky corridor, the Sunshine Coast, and beyond, they bring Creative Therapy Consultants’ holistic approach to diverse communities—both in-person and virtually.
Conclusion
With the launch of our Vancouver office, Creative Therapy Consultants is proud to expand its mission of personalized, client-centered care. Julia de Haas and Claire DeWitt bring a unique combination of occupational therapy and counselling expertise to Metro Vancouver, helping clients overcome challenges, build resiliency, and live more fully.
For Julia and Claire, this new location is more than just an office—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients across the region.
