Claire is a Master’s student in Counselling Psychology and is working towards becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and has three years of experience in physical and mental rehabilitation through her work as a Kinesiologist and Rehabilitation Assistant. Claire is also an active crisis responder for Kids Help Phone and is committed to being a support system for individuals who are struggling.
Claire is devoted to building a strong relationship with each client through empathy and unconditional positive regard. She uses a person-centred approach that tailors every session to each client’s unique needs. Claire uses evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioural therapy and solution-focused therapy, to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their quality of life.
When she is not working or studying, Claire can be found biking, skiing, and spending time hiking with her dog Murphy.
As a practicum student, Claire offers low-fee counselling to those who are interested.
