Claudia Dubé

Occupational Therapist

MEd, BSc OT

Claudia has been an Occupational Therapist since 1997. She primarily worked in community practice in the Montreal area; however, she also worked for the Canadian Back Institute (work rehabilitation), in California (acute care hospital) and in Louisiana (skilled nursing home). She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Laval University; she later completed a Master of Education degree, with a specialty in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies, at the University of Calgary.

Claudia finds meaning in her practice by working collaboratively with people and organizations to enable individuals to return to the roles and occupations that foster their well-being and connect them with themselves, nature and their community.

To promote the capacity of Occupational Therapy to foster community well-being, and contribute to the profession, Claudia worked for 10 year as a Clinical Professor in the Occupational Therapy program of the University of Montreal.

She moved to Vernon in 2019 and fell in love with the nurturing feeling of the community and the Okanagan Syilx territory.

When not working, you’ll find Claudia smiling while cruising down a lake on a stand up paddle board, carving a turn at Silver Star on her snowboard or simply venturing somewhere in nature to contemplate its beauty.
