Lyris graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Physical Activity Studies majoring in Fitness and Lifestyle in 1995. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiologists. She has nine years of experience working as an Exercise Therapist in a multidisciplinary tertiary physiotherapy clinic, 12 years of experience providing Disability Management for a Saskatchewan health region and most recently represented has injured workers appealing their WSBC Claims. She is a Matheson-Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator and Matheson Ergonomic Assessor; she has worked with employers and third parties performing job site evaluations, as well as providing return to work programs and workplace accommodations. As an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Pro Bodybuilder, Lyris knows her way around the weight room and specializes in training a wide range of clients, from those who require aquatic and home-based rehabilitation programs, to those who are training as high-performance athletes. She is passionate about focusing on “ability” instead of “disability.” Lyris is excited to share her passion with clients in the South Okanagan area.
