Laurent Poire-Hamel

MSc OT

Laurent obtained his Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Montreal in 2014. Upon completion of his degree, he worked full-time in a private clinic in Montreal with a focus on hand therapy, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and chronic pain management as well as return to work assessments. As part of a personal and professional development process, he decided to bring his expertise to Kelowna with the goal of exploring the methods used in British Columbia. Laurent is deeply passionate about his profession, as he thinks Occupational Therapists have some of the best tools to enable occupations significant to their clients. He strongly believes in knowledge sharing and his background demonstrates this, as he spent time working as a guest lab instructor at the University of Montreal for several years and he has also participated in scientific writings.
